Description
Pure Beauty! This Barred Owl, Strix varia, exudes elegance, grace, beauty and pure beauty! Barred Owl fossils can be traced back to over 11,000 years! Their broad wingspan is a spectacular wonder of the world to witness, the precision with which those large gorgeous wing spans can navigate through trees and branches. Yet, do not let their beauty and elegance confuse you as they are a bird of prey and those deadly talons can capture a rodent as fast as those wings can carry them.
Consider adding an owl nest to take care of the rodent population instead of using rodent poison. The rodent poison not only kills the rodents it can also kill the baby owls if a parent owl brings a rodent that has ingested the poison back to the nest.
